One of the perks of working in advertising is seeing your work (or rather, the results of your work) pop up at different times. Such was the case with this Huntington Learning Center spot, “Low Grades”. I saw it recently as I was streaming a favorite show. Aquawafina is Nora from Queens
“Awkwafina is Nora from Queens” premiered last month on Comedy Central. The “Crazy Rich Asians” star is a very animated personality. Chris and the Outlines team had a ball rising to the challenge of illustrating Awkwafina’s energetic style for the creatives at Comedy Central.
The Morning Show
Well it took a couple of years for the Apple TV+ show “The Morning Show” to hit the public eye. Funny thing how the selling strategy has shifted in that time. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were the focus of the Conceptual illustrations we created here at Outlines Inc. We never knew that Steve Carrell was in the cast. Obviously, due to the fact that his career is on fire now, he has become the selling point in the finished poster. That’s the ad game!

Watchmen
Wow! The whole Outlines team has been excited about the premier of HBO’s Watchmen series, for two very good reasons.
1… Like most artists, we are all pop culture geeks.
2… We actually got to work up the conceptual art for the show’s promotion… is that cool or what?!?

I was perusing my streaming options on my IPad when HBO’S Righteous Gemstones poster scrolled by.
I was elated to see how closely the final image resembled some of the concept illustrations we produced here at Outlines inc.
