The Kitchen

Outlines Inc had the pleasure to work on the visual concepts for the promotional campaign of New Line Cinema’s gritty mob movie “The Kitchen.” The story takes place in Hell’s Kitchen and is set in the 1970’s. Mellisa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elizabeth Moss are the leads in the movie. Check out some of the Illustrations below that Chris and the team at Outlines visualized for this project.

Stuff We've Done

I keep getting messages from Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram... Chris Notarile, people haven't heard from Outlines Inc. in a while. Write a post.

The good news is that we’ve had a very busy first half of the year and I didn't have time to write posts. Bad news is we've missed announcing premiers and debuts of projects we've had the pleasure to work on.

So with no further ado.... STUFF WE'VE DONE!!! (and forgot to tell you)

Baby Knows best

Sometimes a creative is torn between two possible directions/executions of a concept. In ones head everything seems equal, doable. In cases like these, seeing is believing/knowing the best visual route to take. The following samples illustrate the scenario perfectly.

Possible execution A is a realistic approach to a cute concept: “Child knows best.”

Possible execution B takes the concept further into the realm of fantasy, using an animated approach.

Chris and the Outlines team created these key frames to help the creative decide the best visual solution for the clients message.

Happily Ever After

Chris and the Outlines crew had a blast creating fun frames for a not so funny problem… Postpartum depression/reduced sex drive. The creative sent the visual message, that by seeking proper medical attention one can truly live happily ever after.

Visualizing Moments

Creating product awareness for a particular consumer market is what advertising is all about. Likewise, creating sympathetic and compelling visuals for that consumer market is the essence of storyboarding. The following visuals are a prime example of storyboarding at it’s finest.

See how closely the finished product mirrors the conceptual illustrations Chris and the Outlines team created!
